It seems like David doesn't want to be found again... None of the web sites that used to list his events and info seem to be active. Anyone know what's going on?
Tried bluetruth.org, deidacentral.com (one of his approved guys, not him), deida.info (offline)...no luck
I heard there's a workshop in May somewhere and he usually teaches at Omega and Colorado in August.
Any ideas?
Kevin

The official website for David Deida with all of his workshop information is at www.deida.info <www.deida.info> . The other websites are about independent people who are not affiliated with or endorsed by Deida in any way, although their websites can sometimes be misleading. For more information, you can contact info@deida.info.
The workshop in May you are referring to is at Kripalu in Massachusetts. (kripalu.org)
Hope this helps.

Re: Where to find Info on Deida events?
Tue, April 22, 2008 - 8:45 PMYeap apparently Deida did what he usually does, from what I've been told.
Deida.com RIP - until 2003
Bluetruth.org RIP -2003-2008
How many people have fallen by the wayside you have promoted him? There must be a story there.
Something smelly about it all. Maybe it's his shadow - working with other people.
His new promoter is deidaevents.com (a PUA promoter - net2bed) and deida.info is the official site.

Ok, Jancie, let's stop the slander before it gets out of hand....
Wed, April 23, 2008 - 11:31 PMI am working closely with David now, producing his events and preparing his new online offerings, etc. I am the host of The Fearless Lover.com, exploring the spiritual roots of enduring love, the author The Right Man Online (TheRightManOnline.com) as well as the author of a book for men on how to communicate powerfully from the heart and spine online called Net2bednet2wed: How To Attract The Woman of Your Dreams For a Night, A LifeTime, or Anything In Between. It is about how to be an attractive, strong, nurturing, purposeful, well-expressed man, flat out. I am a family guy, with kids, and a long term live partner, HARDLY a PUA., In fact, anyone who does a little bit of research knows that I often teach about the destructiveness of the PUA mindset, and I market the book to them among others because they need it most! There are one or two people who have a bugaboo about David's work and have been putting out nasty stuff about me. Please don't add to it. There is nothing "smelly" here. In fact, I am trying very hard to bring the best of David's work to people who want and need to hear it (and again, no one needs it more than confused men going after pua stuff). I am working to bring some steadiness to David's presence in the world, and to clean up some of the drama that certain students have tried to whip up around him and his work. So please let's not create negativity where it isn't due and to help this work forward. If you'd like to talk further, I'm happy to do so. You can reach me at DeidaEvents@gmail.com. -

Re: Ok, Jancie, let's stop the slander before it gets out of hand....
Fri, April 25, 2008 - 2:32 PMIt seems like a lot of people have in the past tried to promote Deida's work. Why do they all crash and burn?
The common denominator seems to be Deida.
I get your emails from net2bed now net2bednet2wed and from the rightmanonline.
As Grant Adams you certainly dont seem to say that you are in a committed relationship etc.
I am so over what people do when they sell sex.
In regards your tagline How to Attract the Woman of Your Dreams for a Night, (ouch), A LifeTime (YES) or Anything in Between (gross/yuck).

Re: Ok, Janice, let's stop the slander before it gets out of hand....
Mon, May 5, 2008 - 11:37 AMI'm watching the talk online because I am hoping to quell the wounds of the past by creating a reliable business structure for David.
This is volatile and powerful work and it inflames high feeling. Working with David, I have been reaching out to some of the people who have worked on his behalf to try to create a working relationship. I am not a devotee, much as I admire David's work, so I bring an even keel.
I am hoping to bring some peace and order to the whole swirl of the past.
Among my many endeavors has been my book for men about online dating. I have changed very much since I wrote it and am in the midst of closing down that site and relauching my men's work about online dating with a much clearer intent: The Right Woman Online.
I put it out to all those who have been touched by David's work to put their intentions on creating a positive future rather than constantly replaying emotions of the past.
Anything I can do to help that, I will.
Adam
p.s. I certainly talk about my committed relationship in my letters. You may be receiving some old autoresponders from 2006. All that will be cleaned up soon.

I would assume there are a multitude of stories. Like, maybe some people were selflessly promoting his work, maybe some got heavy into it because they needed the therapy and direction, or maybe some people wanted to ride his coat-tails and carve out an identity as the next indispensable relationship guru.
I think potentially there's a huge burnout factor, whatever the case. Nothing necessarily nefarious about it. -

Re: Where to find Info on Deida events?
Fri, April 25, 2008 - 2:44 PMI just been participating in this community for a very long time.
Deida.com were two of his best friends, and those guys went belly-up. He blew away his best friends for what 'money'.
Bluetruth created an online teaching resource for Deida to deliver his work through, it took a considerable amount of time to build and money, it was live for 6 months and the Deida never bothered showed up, even though he apparently said that he would. The woman who created that site is devastated by the whole affair. I checked, and I was around when she was creating it, I participated in all her activities promoting the Deida's work.
I was around when there was bluetruth.org, deidacentral and deida.info. David played three people off against each other to who would deliver the best deal for him. I have sat in Deida intensives with all three of them.
Even before all that there were some guys in Fairfield.
I have checked around.
David talks about community and checking what toothpaste to buy with his community. This shadow material of his isn't being addressed by his community. There is too much fall-out.

Re: Where to find Info on Deida events?
Sun, April 27, 2008 - 7:22 PMI was too (around back before bluetruth even existed) and have popped in and out of the community over the years.
Every version of the "community" has eventually imploded. I tend to think this is a good thing. The tendency to dogmatize his every word has hobbled the actual message from the get-go, from what I saw. Once it get formul-ized, it dies.
IMO, any guru worth his salt needs to cut the apron strings, and not foster dependencies. There were people who wanted to create a living off his work without offering anything particularly original. Small wonder it didn't take off. To paraphrase a wise friend: "Don't look at me, look at what I'm looking at."
